  • Audio streams:
    • Left Channel
    • Right Channel
    • [Both Channel]
  • Each stream is a sequence of three stimulus types, each of fixed duration.
    • high pitch sound
    • low pitch sound
    • broadband noise
  • Average time between stimuli is fixed.
  • Actual time between stimuli varies according to a uniform distribution (between 90 to 290 ms) [90-390ms and should be variable, Minhong]

  • Response: user searches for a specific stimulus type in stream.
  • User is told before hand what stimulus to search for.
  • User presses button/key when stimulus is heard
    • Record correct or not
      • Considered correct if within window (1000ms) [200-1000ms] after stimulus [after stimulus onset time].
    • Record offset from actual playback time.
    • Also record non-responses (after response window).
  • Trial definition:
    • Number of tones of each type
    • [
    • interval range between two stimuli (offset to onset, e.g. 90-390ms)
    • if could, number of tones type, e.g. 4 tones and 1 noise, or 9 tones 1 noise, or 4 tones 2 noise
    • ]
